Fuck yeah I said that 👀

Come with me to build a new prop for the studio and find a major life lesson in it because that is just how my brain is set up. Also read till the end so you can see this fucking masterpiece cause I really did that shit. (*if you're not geared up for a long read click here to listen to it audiobook style instead)
If you’re new here, my name is cassie and im a boudoir photographer in Piqua, Ohio. Dare I say the coolest, most attractive, creative, mind-blowingly talented and all around best damn boudoir photographer in all of Ohio. No i dont think that makes me cocky. And truly who is it hurting for me to believe that. Literally no one. (lesson #1)
Ive lived alot of lives in the last 31 years. Learned alot about myself and overshared those lessons to do what i can to help the people around me. I’ll spare you the childhood trauma and teenage angst and skip right to 19 when i had my first baby and was in love with a blonde narcissistic man i was sure I would marry. GAG. I’ve had a variety of serious relationships since then that i should be embarrassed to admit i took part in. Got a college degree that was pointless, walked out of my steady job to build a business with no back up plan, had another baby with a man i thought i would definitely for real marry this time GAG AGAIN, built another business, traveled alot, bought a historic house to transform into the studio of my dreams and finally stopped telling myself if i dated women I would make my children and clients uncomfortable.
12 years ago I was a platinum blonde stay at home mom begging for my boyfriend to stop cheating on me, promising i would get my pre-baby body back so he would have a piece of arm candy LITERALLY WTF 🤮. And now i live in sweat pants most days, no make up, glasses with my grandma chain, and you cannot convince me I am not the hottest woman alive (cause again, who is it hurting to believe that? No one. But it makes me feel damn good so we run it.)

The short version is, I went from living off of food stamps and borrowing money from my kids piggy bank to make christmas happen, to earning 6 figures and treating a week at disney like a normal ole birthday gift.
And don't let me feed you some glammed story of my "perfect life". There were thousands of breakdowns and low ass lows. Crying on the bedroom floor anxious that everything would fall apart and hoping in my car to Instacart to remind myself that i will always find a way. Closing a business temporarily cause i didnt have the energy to keep holding it just to reopen it again 2 years later. The constant battle with executive dysfunction, comfy old patterns haunting me at every step, deeply rooted limiting beliefs, and scarcity. Those things are all still very real in this powerhouse of a woman. Yes, it is a success story. Its also a very human story and the biggest takeaway is this:
You are allowed to believe whatever the fuck you want. And more importantly, you can quite literally do anything you put your mind to.
*Minus putting out a hit on your cheating ex. I would definitely not recommend using this advice in that way.
I’ve accomplished alot even in the middle of raising children, toxic relationships where I most definitely sacrificed more of myself than I would like to admit, coming out all over again, and learning who the fuck i am. I am not special. I am not an anomaly. You can do it too as soon as you come to terms with the fact that life does not stop just because you have dreams. Life does not stop being a reckless ride in the back of some dudes car that is 10 years older than you when you mom thinks your staying at sarah's house. Not even if you want something real bad and it would be a whole lot easier to have that thing if life could chill the fuck out. Even when i had nothing, I could find a way to put together the most elaborate 4 part date that cost me almost $400 for a fuck boy who had no business being on the receiving end.
You have to take it. You have to believe with every fiber of your being... Actually scratch that, you have to believe with at least one fiber of your being that it could work out for you and that you will find a way, while the rest of your body is screaming to run in the other direction and settle. You have to motivate yourself in whatever means necessary and do the damn thing. Be at least a little delusional because we live in a world where everyone has already decided what your life gets to look like and you either believe them, or you believe in yourself.
You want a new car that is way out of your budget?
You want to be loved the way that you love?
You want to do the cool shit you are watching everyone else do on tiktok?
You want the kind of friends that show up to your house on a thursday morning with your favorite coffee because they sensed you needed it even though you haven’t told them yet?
Cool. What can you do to make it happen?
And before you try to sell yourself that line of shit that you “dont know”. I’m calling bullshit. As soon as you heard the question your body tried to give you the answer and by default you shut it down because that’s what you’ve been doing for a long time now. You DO know. The problem is your willingness to do the uncomfortable things required to make it happen. You’ve spent the last decade or more compiling evidence that something always comes up, its too hard, it’s not worth it, it wouldnt work out the way you planned anyway so what’s the fucking point.
REALLY LIVING is the fucking point.
Experiencing all the beautiful, mind blowing, holy fucking shit that really happened moments alongside the inevitable human fuckery is the point. Even if it isn’t sensible. Even if your mom doesnt approve. Even if it means losing people along the way. (SAY ✨ALIGNMENT✨)
Have the fucking audacity to believe it is possible. And at the risk of sounding like a basic ass motivational poster: Hang in there buddy. It might take you longer than you anticipated, it might involve a twinge of failure here and there, it might take you down roads you didnt plan to travel. But that doesn't make it impossible. You were fucking built for this. You already solve problems every day. You already do everything. You have the ability to do what it takes. Why shouldn’t you use that raw fucking talent for something that benefits you, and only you?
Move the bits and pieces of inconvenience, natural disasters, nervous system fuckery, and keep fucking going.
If you can sacrifice your values for a bitch of a man with two hairs on the top of his head. You can sacrifice your fancy coffee run or a couple hours of your time to invest in the things you actually desire. Nobody has the power to stop you, except you.
Now back to my project, my assistant Jennifer said WITH CONFIDENCE it would take one hour from start to finish. Two days later the Sex X (as jennifer would call it) is complete and I am obsessed.
